Meet Coach Emma Hodge
Coach Emma has been playing softball since she was 8 years old, and was brought up through the HRYS house league. At
12, she joined the HRYS 12U Glory travel team and played through14U. She played high school softball for South Lakes High School (2 years JV and 2 years Varsity), and simultaneously began playing for a handful of travel teams. At 18U she was scouted at a local tournament by the head coach (Durrie Hayes) and assistant coach (Russell Miles) of Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD. She committed, and after high school
played for Chesapeake for two years until Covid stole their Sophomore Spring seasons away. She has coached for HRYS for 2 years and loves bringing her experiences to the field teaching young girls how to be strong, smart, and great ball players!
